Becoming a member is FREE and once you’ve signed up, you’ll have access to lots of information written for the boaters of the Lancaster Canal. You also be able to ask for help from our volunteer base and pledge to help others by voulnteering too.

There are three membership types AND they are all FREE. Membership lasts for 12 months and is renewable.

Member

You must live on a boat for at least 50% of the time. Register as a MEMBER if you think you may need help from our volunteers.

Volunteer Member

You must live on a boat for at least 50% of the time. Register as a VOLUNTEER MEMBER if you would like to pledge to help others but also be eligible for help yourself.

Supporter

If you do not live on a boat for at least 50% of the time, you can still volunteer to help those that do. Register as a SUPPORTER.

Look at these membership types. Which of these options best describes you?
  • Member – I live on a boat for at least 50% of the time and I may need help from our volunteers now or in the future.
  • Volunteer Member – I live on a boat for at least 50% of the time and I may need help from our volunteers now or in the future. and I would like to pledge to help others.
  • Supporter – I do not live on a boat for at least 50% of the time, but I would like to volunteer to help those that do. (Supporter)
You have told us that: You live on a boat for at least 50% of the time and you may need help from our volunteers now or in the future.  This qualifies you as a Member.
You have told us that: You live on a boat for at least 50% of the time and that you may need help from our volunteers now or in the future. You qualify as a Volunteer Member.
You have told us that: You do not live on a boat for at least 50% of the time, but you would like to volunteer to help those that do. You qualify as a Supporter.
