Meet the Dedicated Team Behind The LCBA

Our team is passionate about supporting Lancaster Canal boaters by sharing knowledge, offering guidance, and fostering a welcoming community for all who navigate these waters.

The Committee

The LCBA commitee is made up of 9 members who all have varying degrees of experience on the Lancaster Canal. Great care has been taken to ensure that we represent the following profiles:

Continous Cruisers and liveaboards required to move every 14 days.

Liveaboard boaters living on a permanent mooring.

New liveaboard boaters who have lived for less than 2 years, aboard.

Liveaboard boaters who have lived for more than 5 years, aboard.

Both Narrow boat and Cruiser owners.

Liveaboard boater for 5 years and exbroads cruiser owner with a CRT home mooring.

Local Boat Safety Examiner and liveaboard boater of 6 years with 15 years of boating experience.

Our committe is elected every 12 months and members can be chosen as part of the commitee. By becoming a member, not only can you give and receive support, but long term, you can ensure the LCBA develops and nurtures our beautiful canal.
