At an LCBA committee meeting held on Tuesday 30th June 2026, a number of committee roles were reshuffled.

The committee rejected the resignations of John Hewson as Secretary, and Ian Lewis , but accepted the resignation of Chair, Michelle Riley. This followed the Resignation submitted by John on the 30th April, Michelle on the morning of Saturday 20th June and Ian’s resignation on the 21st June.

The committee noted Michelle’s valuable contribution in being part of the original committee formed on 28th October 2025 when a group of 10 boaters came together to form the LCBA at the Gregson Community & Arts Center in Lancaster. The committee wished to thank Michelle for her time with the LCBA and wish her all the success for her future social enterprise endevours away from the LCBA.

At the same meeting, when rejecting the resignations of John Hewson and Ian Lewis, and recognising the valuble contribution they have both made, the committee assigned new roles as Head of Communications & Liaison and Boat Specialist, respectively.

Additionally new committee roles were discussed and accepted with a view to helping the LCBA become more organised and prepared for future projects which are currently underway.
